Development Roadmaps For Strengthening the Disaster Preparedness System in Upper and Lower Chitral, KP

AKAHP intends to engage a qualified consultant/firm to provide technical assistance to the DDMUs of Upper and Lower Chitral for the development of comprehensive Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Risk Reduction (DP/DRR) roadmaps. Building on the findings of the Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis, as well as the Coordination and Policy Gap Analysis, the consultancy will support the DDMUs in prioritizing and categorizing interventions into short-, medium-, and long-term measures, developing detailed cost estimations, actionable implementation plan, and a robust monitoring and results-tracking framework. The resulting roadmaps will serve as strategic instruments to enhance the effectiveness and reach of early warning systems, strengthen institutional and community resilience, improve coordination across administrative levels, and provide a structured basis for policy advocacy and resource mobilization in alignment with provincial and national disaster preparedness priorities.
