The project aims to strengthen local capacities in disaster preparedness, early warning, and community-level resilience by using participatory risk mapping, capacity-building approaches, and real-time simulation exercises. The project aims to address the institutional and community-level capacity gaps by facilitating hazard mapping, risk assessment, DRR action planning, training for local officials, and simulation exercises in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and Pakistan Meteorological Department (PAKMET).
The objective of the assignment was to strengthen local disaster preparedness and anticipatory action mechanisms through hazard mapping, risk assessment, capacity building of local governance institutions and community leaders, and simulation exercises at both district and village levels.
