Research – Gender Transformative Analysis of Women Inclusion Strategies in Development Planning Processes through WROs

Oxfam Pakistan launched a request for proposals to identify organizations and firms to be financed for enhancing capacities of local organizations and evidence on Gender transformative agenda. Within this, InterAct Consulting submitted its proposal to Oxfam on “Gender Transformative Analysis of Women Inclusion Strategies in Development Planning Processes through WROs”. Specific objectives are;

“to identify and understand barriers to the women’s electoral process, political participation, and its impact on gender mainstreaming in the four provinces of Pakistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.”

Objectives;

1. To evaluate the effectiveness of current policies, legal frameworks, and initiatives by WROs aimed at promoting gender mainstreaming in electoral process and political participation.
2. To assess the existing socio-cultural, economic, and institutional barriers that hinder women’s engagement in the political participation, electoral processes, and political decision-making.
3. To analyze the impact of gender disparities on democratic governance and the representation of women’s interests.
4. To recommend evidence-based strategies, interventions, and policy recommendations to enhance women’s political participation and promote gender mainstreaming in electoral processes.
