The Sindh Coastal Resilience Integrated Programme (SCRIP) is a comprehensive, multi-sectoral initiative designed to strengthen climate resilience, promote livelihood security, enhance natural resource management, and improve disaster preparedness in the coastal belt of Sindh, Pakistan. Focusing on the districts of Thatta and Sujawal, the programme aims to benefit approximately 8,000 individuals from vulnerable coastal communities by improving their adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change risks. The project integrates both community-based and ecosystem-based approaches. The project, to be implemented in priority districts of Thatta and Sujawal, will improve coastal communities’ resilience to climate change and their ability to adapt and mitigate climate risks. It includes development of a comprehensive Coastal Resilience and Adaptation Plan for the six talukas of Thatta and Sujawal districts including Thatta, Sujawal, Jati, Shah Bandar and Mirpur Sakro targeting a total of 28 villages in all talukas.
